Executive Councilor Ray Burton visited Pike's Franconia-Littleton paving project last Friday to view progress on this multiyear, $7.7M job. Councilor Burton was joined by Ken Wood, Greg Gorman, Roger Martin and Larry Major of Pike. The councilor got an up close look at the cold planing and paving operations, which required tight coordination so the milled areas were repaved prior to allowing traffic back onto them. During the tour Councilor Burton talked to many employees, most who knew him personally. Councilor Burton has served on the Executive Council since 1977 and represents approximately 264,000 people within Council District 1. District 1 is the largest district comprised of Coos and Grafton counties as well as many other towns.
