Surveyor (Construction Division)
We are seeking a qualified, self motivated, safety minded individual to work throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont in the Construction Division as a Surveyor. The successful candidate must possess the ability to use the TOPCON Legacy-E+ Base station along with the HIPER+ Rover and FC-100 Data Collector to give control on site jobs, centerline and curb layout for roadway construction, drainage layout, etc. They also must have the ability to figure and shoot grades using an Auto-Level and/or Total Station which is required for several tasks from curb layout to simple ditch design.

A strong understanding of coordinates, survey data, and plans is necessary for time spent in the field. Previous experience in property and boundary survey as well as having a survey license is beneficial. The use of Carlson Take-Off and Office 3D is required for both assisting in the estimating department and creating 3D models for use in the field. The selected candidate must be proficient with Carlson Take-Off which is based on an Auto-CAD interface to manipulate drawings received from engineering firm. Drawings are often drawn just for paper, so it is often necessary to spend some time reworking the drawing to use them digitally both for the GPS system and quantity take-off. The selected candidate must be willing to travel throughout all three states. Long hours, nights and/or weekends may be required. The ability to work alone and with little direction is essential. The selected candidate must have a strong work ethic in order to follow a tight schedule and he/she must be able to deliver accurate and timely results while displaying a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with coworkers and the public. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: general laboring, equipment operation, welding/fabricating, operating a haul or bin truck and performing general maintenance duties. We are seeking a qualified, safety minded, self-motivated individual to be a secondary Scaleperson in our Southern Maine and Southern New Hampshire locations. The primary responsibilities of the scale portion of this position will be to answer phones/direct calls, greet customers, and operate the truck scales for internal/external materials activities, (i.e., weigh trucks in/out, collect cash for aggregate and hot mix sales, and manage all paperwork involved), process outgoing and incoming mail, and other miscellaneous duties as needed.

Sales/Estimator - Bangor
We are seeking a qualified, self-motivated, safety minded, customer-oriented individual to fill the Sales/Estimator position we have available in the Bangor area. Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the full bid process including: customer development, estimate and bid preparation, scheduling, project management, and customer follow up. This position will also be responsible for promoting and growing the sale of our crushed stone and hot mix asphalt products in the area. A substantial amount of time will be spent developing new customers and building new relationships. The ability to understand the market area and forecast product needs will be required.
